Reiki Lunch-n-Learn at NUHS

The National University of Health Sciences is an exceptional teaching institution that conducts a lot of research, instructing those in our industry how to participate in and develop sound studies. Needless to say, I’m a big fan. So you can imagine how excited I was when the Continuing Ed Dept. invited me to conduct a Reiki Lunch-n-Learn on campus. I drove out that morning hoping for 10-12 attendees, and ended up with a packed house of more than 35 students, faculty and staff!

Luckily there was no time to get nervous.

The presentation went well, finishing up with some enthusiastic Q&A from the crowd. Afterwards I was approached by two of the head researchers who offered to provide resources for the Jesse Brown volunteer group to conduct a study with veterans. Based on some wonderful outcomes at the VA, I’ve been thinking about investigating the impact of Reiki on phantom pain in amputees.
